This LJ serves primarily as a storyspace for a fictional character. Any resemblance to real people or events is strictly coincidental (and, considering the content, highly worrisome).
People paying close attention will notice that this character tends to do a lot of "Eep!"ing and running away. That's because I find the so commonly played concept of the young Neonate who lived a complacent and non-violent mortal life but somehow immediately becomes an unflappable badass the moment they develop some Disciplines - if not the moment the undergo the Embrace - highly unrealistic; as if, somehow, the physical ability to defend themselves with relative efficiency warps their psychology so that they become completely blase about the prospect of physical harm. That's not how people's brains work, so it's not how Ivy's does, either; faced with danger, she will become frightened and attempt to flee. Pressed to the wall, pushed too far, she can break out some serious 'fu, but, at this point in her Requiem, it would never occur to her, consciously, to do so as a first resort.
